  • The restoration workshop is finished

    The educational programme of the Transylvania Trust, aimed at students in the fields of architecture, structural engineering, landscape architecture, archaeology, art history, craftsmen in the construction industry, as well as other interested people, was held between 30 July and 13 August 2017. The goal of the workshop organised at Bánffy Castle, Bonŝida, is to revive and train in traditional crafts in the field of construction, in an intercultural context.

  • European Artistic Crafts Day in Bonțida

    Joining the events of the European Artistic Crafts Day, we invite you on 1 and 2 April 2017, from 10:00 to 12:00, to visit our traditional masonry and carpentry workshops at Bánffy Castle, Bonțida. Visitors will have a chance to participate in demonstrations regarding traditional crafts and to get involved in the workshops' activities by trying out traditional tools, techniques, and materials.

    Transylvania Trust launches at Bánffy Castle, Bonŝida (Cluj Co., Romania), two Artists and Craftsmen in Residence programmes for artists, craftsmen, artisans, and creators interested in and preoccupied by the reinterpretation of historical values through contemporary methods. The residence programmes ensure the temporal and spatial conditions for learning and creation in an exceptional historical setting: Bánffy Castle, Bonŝida.

    The art camps will take place between 21 August and 3 September 2017, approaching the concept of OR, respectively between 11 and 24 September 2017, focusing on the concept of IF.
