The Transylvania Trust is a registered charity, set up by conservation professionals and volunteers in 1996. Our principal aim is to conserve and promote Transylvania's rich and diverse built heritage, to encourage society to be receptive towards the built environment. The Trust is active in all fields of conservation: data recording, inventory, survey, building restoration, maintenance, training, and also scientific research.

  • Open call for designers, architects, artists and craftsmen

    Transylvania Trust launches at Bánffy Castle, Bonŝida (Cluj Co., Romania), two Artists and Craftsmen in Residence programmes for artists, craftsmen, artisans, and creators interested in and preoccupied by the reinterpretation of historical values through contemporary methods. The residence programmes ensure the temporal and spatial conditions for learning and creation in an exceptional historical setting: Bánffy Castle, Bonŝida.

    The art camps will take place between 21 August and 3 September 2017, approaching the concept of OR, respectively between 11 and 24 September 2017, focusing on the concept of IF.
