European Heritage Day at Bánffy Castle in Bonchida

On 20 September 2020 Bánffy Castle, Bonțida opened its doors once again for all interested in this important landmark of the region and in cultural heritage in general, for an open day celebrating European heritage.

On Sunday, 22 September, guided tours were held in Romanian and Hungarian, children of all nationalities could enjoy the non-verbal puppet show called Pulcinella and the Dream, and those interested in built heritage could participate in a book presentation (Bánffy Castle, Bonțida: Past, Present, Future), and an exhibition documenting the restoration works that had been carried out in the castle for two decades.

We were also joined by the Cluj Cultural Centre with workshops and exhibitions, to whom we owe thanks for their active participation at the event.
